Flare up

Unfortunately Zebra Glam was only meant for one day on my nails.  They started to chip today and chipping means me picking and that means and imperfect manicure--which these days just isn't allowed.  That meant a re-paint, which is also unfortunate because I really don't like this manicure.  This was a case of the perception and visual in my head was way better and more exciting than what actually ended up on my nails.  Boo.  But it's late and I put in effort and this blog is dedicated to the nails iPolished--good and bad, so here you go:

The base color is China Glaze Solar Power.  I used Konad Plate m63 for the flame tips.  Then painted a coat of Goldilocks Rocks, and orange sparkle from OPI over the whole nail followed by a coat of Seche Vite.

So... could you do my nails for my wedding? I was thinking about getting a Konad plate for fancy tips instead of the typical french manicure. :D you're just amazing.

I would love to do your wedding nails. Tell me what disk(s) you like and I'll get them and we can try some stuff out!

Oh my gosh! These are AWESOME! How do you get all those tiny details!? I had so much fun looking back over all your various posts and seeing all the different designs you have done.

Next time I see you I'll have to inspect your nails and see what fabulous design you have!

Any tips on how to do those kinds of things? My girls LOVE getting their nails done but I'm not the greatest with doing those TINY details!

Heather, I am so glad you enjoy my designs. As far as the tiny details--I don't freehand all of those. For example, this manicure is done with a "Konad" plate. It is basically a stamping system for nail polish (I have a link on this post to it. If I use Konad, I make sure to put it in my post, if not, I freehanded the design. I use small, fine point brushes for all my more detailed, freehand work.

Thanks for checking me out! I hope you can find some inspiration for your girls' future manicures!
