First Flowers

In keeping with my spring-themed manicures, I decided to use my flower decals for a manicure. It is always challenging when there is a lot of raised texture on a manicure in terms of wear, but this lasted as long as I wanted it to.....

I painted three coats of Zoya Marley and then hand painted with Gemma some curly-cues (maybe representative of leaves) and added on the flower decals from Art Club Blue Denim Clay Nail Art collection. I used two coats of Seche Vite for the top coat.

Thread Lightly

Today's manicure is simple, but a bit tedious to create.  I bought these Metallic Threads from Sally's and wanted to try them out, but they had to be cut to size, didn't all want to stay down or stay straight.  Either way, I still like the idea and the final look isn't so bad.  This is another one of the colors in Orly's Cosmic FX collection and I think they are so pretty, but incredibly hard to photograph--so the excess pictures this time are less about showing off the design and more about trying to depict the color and sparkle.

I painted three coats of Orly Lunar Eclipse.  I used Seche Vite to adhere the threads and to coat on top to seal them.

Drive-by Butterflies

I've been seeing a ton of Monarchs here in MN.  So pretty.  In homage and because I got new clay decals from Sally's, here you go!

I used Essie Steel-ing The Scene.  So Easy Stripe Rite in Hot Blue and decals from Art Club Blue Denim.  Seche Vite was used for the top coat.

Sangria!

I had a BBQ tonight and I made sangria for the party last night.  So, it became the theme of my manicure.  I even painted my toes the same and added the fruit to my big toe.  The Sangria was delightful and so was the BBQ!

I painted first two coats of Zoya Jolene and then followed with one coat of Sienna.  I added the fruits from Cina's Fruit Salad decal package which I got for my birthday.  The fruits are so cute!  I used two coats of Seche Vite to smooth out the final look.

Twenty Nails and A Wedding

I was in a wedding Friday and was honored the bride (my sister-in-law) asked me to paint her nails.  They turned out terrific and the wedding was lovely.  I, of course, had to do something special for my nails as a lovely bridesmaid as well.  I really liked the shoes I wore and since am a fan of coordinating shoe and nails, here are the results:

The Bride's Nails:

Mermaid

I was on vacation for the past few days and with no computer--thus no posting.  Although we had pretty crappy weather on the lake, I couldn't resist swimming in the lake, diving off the boat at 59 degrees.  If I could live in the water, I would.  I will post the manicure I had at the cabin as well as a manicure I did for my friend, Kari.

This one had a shine I had to post

Polish focus.

I used Zoya Yasmeen for the base color and a decal from Cina (this kit) for the mermaid scales.  I used two coats of Seche Vite on top.

Semi Formal

Neon didn't last.  So next time I will paint it over white so it has better staying power.  So that means a new manicure!  This one reminded me so much of a formal dress for prom or the like and since it is also the season for girls in prom dresses, it is totally fitting.

I painted the base coat color from Ulta in Envy.  I then added Cina nail art that resemble crushed shells and a matching purple glitter, both from this nail art pack.  I added two coats of Seche Vite on top to smooth out the texture.

Star Power

I wanted to try some new nail decorations I had picked up.  I love the idea, but it (as you can see) they make your nails textured due to them not laying flat.  If you can handle that, it looks pretty cool.

I painted the base color in China Glaze Light As Air.  I then added nail decorations from Cina.  Topped with two coats of Seche Vite in order to attempt to cut down on the texture.  And that's what I got.
