I needed something simple, since it is so late. I actually really like the look. Of course, you can't tell in the picture, but it makes my manicure look almost 3D . Plus, I think I have taken one of my best nail photos yet.
pretty pretty.
Base color is Essie's Perky Purple with So Easy Stripe Rite in Aqua or Sea Green Metallic (I can't tell based on their color chart). I used two coats of Seche Vite.

I like simple. It can say so much.
How long does it take for your nails to dry? Do you have to wait before applying the next coat? I always wondered how long it takes total.
Ginger, polish dry time totally depends on the polish. For the majority, I think they set well in about 20-30 minutes, but I would say officially hard (depending on the polish, again, 40-60 min).
I do not wait for the polish to dry between coats--I just don't have the patience and I don't know that it really makes that much difference in dry time in the long run. However, if you have a you have a really streaky polish, giving some dry time between coats will cut down on the amount of coats you have to do to make it opaque.
Now your curiosity is cured. Nail art on the other hand can take a lot of time. I'm pretty sure lego nails took me two and a half episodes of Dexter--So that's like 2.25 hours.
I really like this! I agree with the others sometimes the "EASY" ones are the ones that make the best impression! Thanks for the info on drying and so on as well! I've often wondered the same thing! :D
